The Global Health Initiative at Scripps Research is an institute-wide, collaborative effort to reduce the burden of disease across the globe. Augustine Goba (right) is the director of the Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Laboratory at the Kenema Government Hospital in Sierra Leone. He is responsible for the development and execution of research programs and the oversight of laboratory personnel. Working with him, Mambu Momoh (left) manages sample collections, clinical laboratory testing and diagnostics for patients with suspected viral hemorrhagic fevers.
