Meet Mambu & Augustine

Our research makes a global impact, but it would not be possible without skilled local collaborators.

Augustine Goba (right) is the director of the Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Laboratory at the Kenema Government Hospital in Sierra Leone. He is responsible for the development and execution of research programs and the oversight of laboratory personnel. Working with him, Mambu Momoh (left) manages sample collections, clinical laboratory testing and diagnostics for patients with suspected viral hemorrhagic fevers.

Together with scientists at Scripps Research and across the world, they are furthering our understanding of deadly pathogens that have the potential to develop into global threats
